Delete your Dipper account

You can delete your Dipper account and its data at any time, directly in the app. You do not need to contact us first.

In the app

1. Open Dipper and go to the Profile tab.
2. Tap Settings.
3. Tap Delete Account.
4. Type DELETE in the confirmation box.
5. Tap Delete account permanently.

For your security, deletion only proceeds if you signed in within the last 10 minutes. If it has been longer, you will be asked to sign in again and retry — this stops someone who picks up an unlocked phone from wiping your account.

By email

If you no longer have access to the app or cannot sign in, email support@dipper-app.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify it is you and complete the deletion within 30 days.

What gets deleted

• Your account and sign-in identity
• Your profile: display name, username and avatar
• Your group memberships, votes and saved bundles
• Your push notification tokens and device records
• Your friend connections, favourites and blocks
• Your support messages
• Your reviews, photos and price votes, including the image files themselves
• Your avatar image

What is kept, and why

• Chat messages you sent to a group remain visible to that group so the conversation still makes sense to everyone else, but they are detached from your name and profile. They can no longer be traced back to you through the app.
• Safety reports filed about serious abuse may be retained where we need them to protect other users or to meet a legal obligation.
• Crash reports are already anonymous and contain no account identifier, so there is nothing to link back to you.

Timing

Deletion from the app takes effect immediately — you are signed out and your account can no longer be used. Data is removed from our live database at that moment. Encrypted backups roll off within 30 days.

Want a copy first?

Before deleting, you can export your data from Profile → Settings → Export My Data. We will send you a machine-readable copy of everything associated with your account.
